In the session, I was told that when you look at a student's rigor, you look at the number of honors and AP classes a student has taken. Do you also look at and consider the Honors and AP classes that are "In Progress" in my senior year on my transcript? In a number of states, a student's GPA on their high school transcript is so inflated by their school that many times their GPA is over a point above what we would see. I have seen a GPA on a transcript just the other day that, on a 4.0 scale, was listed as a 5.30. In other words, if this was not put this way, you would see a large number of possible non-qualified students sending in scholarship applications for the FF/Ramsey. I am sorry if this wording irks or confuses you, but most schools are not in your situation, so we have to give information that hits the huge majority of the prospective students and hope that the 1-2% that it does not fit exactly can read between the lines. As for job security, I think bigger issues impact that more.DGraveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07898528441077213024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1610885684347083635.post-75108379949073577242010-10-14T03:29:25.101-04:002010-10-14T03:29:25.101-04:00Hi DG,

None of the top 10% of my class has an unweighted GPA at or above 3.75 (since they are all taking AP courses--many of which rarely give A's), and so the only people who would qualify if it were truly unweighted are the ones not taking AP courses. Clearing up this wording on the scholarship website would make your life easier...or is this job security?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1610885684347083635.post-90712147205128586112010-10-14T00:18:14.537-04:002010-10-14T00:18:14.537-04:00Anon: As I have said before, occasionally there ar...Anon: As I have said before, occasionally there are issues with the GA411 transcripts, although they are more reliable than paper. Over the past few days, the GA411 site has also had a few issues. As such, give us a little time (you have only given at most 2 business days) for the transcript. As for the SAT scores, check your score report to make sure it was sent to UGA, and that you used your full name, correct SSN, and correct birthdate. I sent my transcript through ga411 on October 11. Then I received an email stating that UGA had received this document. I sent my score report back in June and the Score History stated that my scores were sent on June 22nd. On my status though, it does not reflect the receipt of my transcript or my SAT scores. I resubmiited the transcript just in case, and I plan on calling collegeboard tomorrow to verify that they sent my scores. However, I can't help but worry. In case they did not, would it be too late to send my scores tomorrow?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1610885684347083635.post-65193208407167914082010-10-13T21:57:27.800-04:002010-10-13T21:57:27.800-04:00Anon: You have not stated if your are applying EA,...Anon: You have not stated if your are applying EA, but I will assume you are.
